Project Description

The primary objective is to handle the election of the Board of Directors and manage the voting process through an electronic ballot system. The Board is elected on a fixed term through a structured process, with members appointed periodically to replace those completing their term. Board members may be individual Members or delegates appointed by Organizational Members, drawn from across the organization's regional structure to maintain balanced representation.

Congruent Software built the electronic ballot system to manage this election and voting process on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Customer Overview

The customer is an international non-profit membership organization with a governance structure spanning multiple regions, electing a Board of Directors to represent its members.

Customer Requirement

The customer needed to replace a manual board election process with a secure, transparent electronic ballot system that members could use easily. Specifically, they required:

  • An electronic ballot system to manage the Board of Directors election and voting process end to end.
  • A clear, interactive voting interface showing candidate details so members can make informed choices.
  • Vote confirmation and acknowledgement so members know their vote was recorded.
  • Real-time generation of election results.

An electronic ballot system built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 with Power BI reporting, accessible across web and mobile.

Voting interface

  • Developed an interactive ballot page displaying candidate images and details for better visibility and understanding.
  • Added a user manual section guiding members on how to cast their vote.
