A leading online retailer for kids’ and teenagers. The company has an online ecommerce platform that integrates all the 10 brands and provides unified shopping experience to customers.

Customer Situation

  • Outdated Intranet portal using SharePoint 2010 Standard, resulting in non-standard SharePoint practices and content management, impacting user adoption and reducing traffic to the portal
  • Need to increase traffic to the portal, making it a common platform for communication and collaboration among different departments

Congruent's Solution

Working with the Customer’s IT team, Congruent,

  • Did capacity planning, build the Infrastructure architecture and planned upgrade of contents using DB Upgrade method
  • Executed and managed the entire project from Offshore, performing a trial upgrade in the Staging environment duly validated for content and performance by the Customer
  • Also upgraded custom components from SharePoint 2010 portal

  • Current owners had issues with the branding of the Intranet portal – colour scheme and positioning of content parts in the home page. Congruent worked with the Human Resources department to rebrand the entire home page of the Intranet portal which helped them enhance user traffic
  • Overcoming the issues related to admin sections of the site due to custom branding
